Mission
CLIC’s mission is to advance a more connected model of clinical education by bringing together educators, institutions, and communities committed to Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships. Through global collaboration, shared scholarship, and innovation in practice, we support learning that unfolds over time, strengthens relationships, and reshapes how medical students experience clinical training.
Core Elements
Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships (LICs) share several defining core elements:
Medical students participate in the comprehensive care of patients over an extended period of time.
Medical students develop sustained learning relationships with the clinicians who care for these patients.
Through these ongoing experiences, medical students achieve the majority of the year’s core clinical competencies across multiple disciplines simultaneously.
